Course Description

Managers of work groups and teams confront universal challenges:

  • How do I align everyone towards a common goal?
  • What can I do to ensure each team member contributes their part?
  • What about navigating conflicts and dealing with difficulty personalities?

This course addresses these questions by examining the key factors that influence team dynamics. We will focus on understanding relationships among group members, managing conflict, improving decision-making, enhancing cohesion, and optimizing performance. Participants will reflect on their own behaviors and perceptions, as well as those of their colleagues, to develop practical strategies for effective team leadership.

Andrew Simon, Ph.D., Psy.D., the creator and instructor of this certificate course, brings a wealth of expertise in leadership, sport psychology, organizational behavior and related areas to the program. For Professor Simon's profile, click here.

Participants are strongly encouraged to take an active role in each session and can expect to develop an actionable framework for enhanced group dynamics and team performance to put into practice.
