Course Description

The Adult (MHFA) Certification Program is designed to give an overview of the prevalence and impact of mental health problems in the United States; outline the signs, symptoms, possible risk factors and warning signs of depression and anxiety; and introduce the MHFA action plan and how it fits within the array of interventions available to address mental health problems in adults.

Participants are required to complete two hours of online prep-work independently seven days prior to the six-to-seven hour synchronous session.

Upon successful completion of the program and end-of-course examination, participants are issued a nationally recognized certification as Mental Health First Aiders conferred by MHFA USA.
